Did you Celebrate St. George’s Day?

April 24, 2017

How did you celebrate St. George’s Day?

There were lots of St George’s Day celebrations in the North East of England over the weekend:

Newcastle Castle in the City Centre hosted a celebration day with costumed characters taking part in food, music and combat demonstrations. The Fifth Fusiliers led by their band paraded through Newcastle City Centre – and of course, lots of English flags throughout the area. Warkworth Castle in Northumberland also hosted a medieval St. Georges’s Day event with combat displays and music performances.
